Just thought of sharing this wonderful poem. Perhaps one of the best, heartfelt literature I’ve ever read ♥
(A Poem) For all the hearts for once were broken. We all have shattered hearts Which I know, has left a few marks For here we are, breathing though tampered Fragile and resentful, pious though withered. So then we ask, “Where are the pieces?” Of our hearts, which no one caresses Where are the hopes, the love and all the caring? Which are the things that brought us our being. We worshiped The One through day and night, Loathed even our very own sight We viewed something no one else has seen, Been a refuge in a place nobody’s ever been. Snatched a kiss, lingered with a hug Fearless and innocent, such as a lady bug Crossed an ocean along a road Although they knew we bore a load. At such point we gave a love That out compared the boundless sea Yet we knew it was false for there’s no love And no such ocean can ever be. So now we understand we’re but alone Idle, imbecilic, holding on to some bone But we need not to linger, all must simply go We know not wither, still this we know. Like a seasoned leaf not on the ground, There’s a time for our heart’s pieces to be found Within this we simply have to wait, Keep the left pieces and have a little more faith.
